The Remember Enescu International Competition, 22nd edition 2025, will take place from September 15 – 20 at the National University of Music in Bucharest and is organized for the violin, piano, singing and composition sections.

REGULATION

1.The “Remember Enescu” International Competition 2025, Violin Section, is open to young performers and is organized in the following categories:

- Category A – born after January 1, 2013

- Category B – born between 2012 – 2008

- Category C – born between 2007 – 2001

 

2.Candidates may register for the competition in a higher category.

3.The competition will be held in two stages, the first stage being eliminatory.

4.The registration form will be available on the website www.rememberenescu.ro. In the form, all required information must be completed; all fields are mandatory.

5.The competition repertoire will be performed from memory, with the exception of the Sonata by George Enescu from Category C.

6.The competitors will appear in the competition with their own accompanist.

  1. The organizers provide the contact details of the official accompanists of the competition on the website www.rememberenescu.ro

Their employment is done directly by the competitors.

  1. The jury is made up of personalities from the musical world. The prizes will be awarded by the Jury.
  2. The Jury may award the “Remember Enescu” 2025 Grand Prize, to the most valuable competitor, regardless of the Section and Category in which he participated, at the Competition Gala. The Grand Prize is indivisible.
  3. Prizes I, II, III for each category, mentions, special prizes and diplomas of merit may be awarded. The prizes will be in money, objects and appointments in concerts with the orchestra as well as in important events of the Foundation. For laureates classified in the same place, the cash prizes are not divisible.
  4. The teachers who guide and accompany the competitors will receive honorary diplomas.
  5. The participation fee is 80 euros in lei at the daily BNR exchange rate and will be deposited in the bank account of the “Remember Enescu” Cultural Foundation

Awards

The awards will be given by the Jury.

More information about the value of the Grand Prize will be available soon.

The jury will be able to award the “Remember Enescu” 2025 Grand Prize to the most valuable competitor, regardless of the Section and Category in which he/she participated, at the Competition Gala. The Grand Prize is indivisible.

Three prizes can be awarded for each category, mentions, special prizes and diplomas of merit.

The prizes will be in the form of money, scholarships, scores, books, CDs, concerts and programming in the Foundation’s events.

A violin created by the luthier and collector Eugene Tchaikovsky will be offered, as well as other prizes offered by sponsors.

All teachers and accompanists will receive honorary diplomas.
